Carry out the manufacturer’s patch test before a full fitting. For polyurethane systems, coat the base lightly and build up four thin layers on the scalp, letting each turn clear before the next. For lace systems, use five thin scalp layers, allowing 20 to 30 seconds between them, and keep adhesive off the lace. After the last layer, wait seven minutes before pressing the system into place. Follow the supplied instructions and use a compatible adhesive remover.
